Summary

Charlie Ashanti lives in England sometime in the future with his mom and dad who are scientists. When his mom and dad are kidnapped to be used by a powerful corporation, Charlie must use his quick wit and special talents to escape from Rafi, a teenage hood trying to make his way into corporate crime. 

 

One of CharlieŐs special talents is that he can speak cat.  This comes in handy when he joins the floating circus and befriends the lions. Charlie and the lions end up on a terrifying adventure involving the Orient Express, King Boris and many other exciting, sometimes frightening characters.

 

This is the first book of a trilogy.  The second book is The Chase, followed by the final book of the trilogy, The Truth.

Author Info

This book was written by a mother and daughter team.  Their real names are Louisa Young and Isabel Adomakoh Young.  The name Zizou is from IsabelŐs lizard, Zizu.

Additional Info

I didnŐt expect to like a book about a little kid who can speak to cats.  I was amazed at how I got pulled into the story.  When I finished the first book, I immediately checked out the second and read it in a day!
